Adept transcription is a disability equality company. We provide conversion of documents into formats accessible to disabled people to increase the amount of information and services available to them.

Our most popular formats are Braille, Large-Print, Audio, Easy Read and E-Docs. However we also offer a number of other formats as listed below.

BSL & Subtitles

We offer a 'BSL letter' service for creating BSL videos, DVD's and media files of documents intended for use by BSL speakers that have difficulty reading standard print. Your document is interpreted and recorded in a professional media suite complete with blue-screen background for the addition of necessary pictures and logo's during the post-record edit. We also recommend 'overlaying' subtitles to the final video, making the document accessible to people that use BSL & Subtitles.

Moon

We provide Moon. A format similar to Braille in that it is tactile, and read by touch. Unlike Braille Moon is tactile shapes as oppose to code (or 'dots'). It is considered to be easier to learn than Braille but is not as widely taught or available.

Daisy

We provide all levels of Daisy. A fairly 'new' format being championed by the RNIB and beginning to take shape as it becomes more available. Daisy users need specific software or  'Daisy-Players' to access the Daisy content (usually sent as disc). Once the user receives the disc they can select the required format via the software/player, be it Large font, Braille code or Audio.
